Beginning to freak out

I'm beginning to worry if I can do this challenge.  Forget about realistic -- I'm wondering if it is even possible to do.  This moving stuff has really thrown me for a loop, and everything is in disarray.  I'm stressed out an unprepared -- is it a good idea to even try this, or am I setting myself up for failure?

If anyone has some words of wisdom (or reassurance) for me, I could really use them right about now.

  1. I think you'll be fine. This is not something you HAVE to be prepared to do - but it helps. You've already done some 'outlining' which will make things easier. I think part of it is that you're taking a hard project and making it much harder by imposing additional standards. Remember, part of the challenge of nanowrimo is to turn off the inner editor and allow yourself to write crap. Not every painting has to be a masterpiece. If you want to explore a color or a sound or a thought, go for it. The point is to get in the habit of DOING without allowing self-imposed standards to prevent you from the actual DOING. So know that you'll have to sit down every day to paint, know that it will be hard, know that there will be days you don't want to paint or don't have a good idea, be prepared to sit down and do it anyway, and appreciate that sometimes you will paint crap, and once and a while the crap you paint will not be so crappy and you'll feel really good about it.
